Seachem Matrix™ is a natural, highly porous bio-media designed for exceptionally efficient biological filtration in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Each litre of Matrix offers an enormous 160,000+ cm² of surface area, providing ample space for beneficial bacteria to thrive.
Matrix supports both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, making it ideal for the complete nitrogen cycle—from ammonia to nitrite to nitrate, and finally to harmless nitrogen gas expelled at the water’s surface.

How It Works:

Use in a filter bag or directly in your filter. Rinse before use. No replacement needed unless physically degraded.
