Our Double Protein Shanks are something a little special! Made right here at For Pets Sake, these natural chews combine a delicious, air-dried bone with a tasty beef weasand wrapping, giving your dog two different proteins and textures in one incredible treat.

Each shank is carefully air-dried before being hand-wrapped in 100% New Zealand beef weasand. The shank then goes back into the dehydrator, allowing the beef weasand to naturally shrink tightly around the bone, creating a delicious outer layer for your dog to enjoy.

We've now introduced two sizes, using two different New Zealand proteins.

🦴 Small – Wallaby Double Protein Shank

Our smaller Double Protein Shank is made using a New Zealand wallaby shank, wrapped in beef weasand and dehydrated for a second time.

Wallaby is a naturally lean, less common protein, making it a great alternative to traditional meat treats. The smaller shank offers a satisfying chewing experience without the size of our larger venison option.

Ideal for smaller dogs, moderate chewers, or dogs that prefer a smaller bone.

🦌 Large – Venison Double Protein Shank

Our original Double Protein Shank features a locally sourced Timaru venison shank, carefully air-dried before being wrapped in beef weasand and dehydrated again.

The larger, more substantial bone provides an extended chewing experience, with the delicious beef wrapping adding an extra layer of flavour and texture.

Ideal for medium to large dogs that enjoy a more substantial, longer-lasting chew.

Please note: Small and Large refer to the type and size of bone used. Small contains wallaby and beef, while Large contains venison and beef. These are natural products, so sizes and shapes will vary.
